My Top 5 Blushes
July 29, 20110 Comments
I love wearing blushes. A touch of blush just ties everything together. I have a very pale skin tone (NC 15) and without anything on the cheeks I often look unhealthily pale. I find that coral shades look most natural on me, however bubble gum pink shades give me that ''I just came from the cold'' flush I love so much. So here are my selected five:
Top: BeneFit Coralista and NARS Deep Throat
Bottom: Everyday Minerals Waffle Cone (sample size), E.l.f. Natural Radiance blush in Shy and Maybelline Dream Mousse blush in Satin Peach

1. BeneFit Coralista - I think I already raved enough about this blush, so I'm not going to bore you again. In short: it's the perfect coral shade with gold shimmer that just gives that lovely glow. This is my most worn blush. More swatches here and here.

2. NARS Deep Throat - Is a coral pink blush with a gold shimmer. It's pinker and much darker than Orgasm, so it's quite easy to overdo on my skin tone, but I still find it prettier that Orgasm so I wear it more. More swatches and comparisons can be found here.

3. Maybelline Dream Mousse blush in Satin Peach - I love the light texture of the mousse. It blends like a dream and is hard to overdo. The color is a frosty peachy pink that just makes you look so healthy and pretty. I always apply it with my fingertips. More swatches and comparison with the newer Dream Touch blush can be found here.

4. E.l.f. Natural Radiance blush in Shy - Is the most gorgeous light bubble gum pink ever. It gives me the perfect pink cheeks. I heard it's supposedly a good dupe for MAC Well Dressed, personally don't know because I don't own Well Dressed. The texture is a bit chalky but that honestly doesn't bother me. The packaging on the other hand does. The opening mechanism is just annoying, the whole plastic packaging looks very cheap and small, but I for the price your paying it's still a really good blush. I highly recommend Shy for paler skin tones, but I imagine someone with darker skin tone might have trouble getting it to show up. The original full review can be found here.

5. Everyday Minerals blush in Waffle Cone -  The great natural blush for my skin tone. It's similar to Miel Glace by Lancome which I also own, but Waffle Cone has the most amazing subtle shimmer or I could describe it as more of a glow. I own the sample size, but since you only need a little amount even the sample size will last you ages.

Pupa Luminys Blush 07 and Essence 73 Replay
April 09, 20110 Comments

Pupa Luminys velvety baked blush 07 - I found these blushes in Limoni. Honestly, I had no idea Pupa has baked blushes that look similar to Mac's MSF. There are 6 shades available, 3 are bronze-golden shades, 06 was a pink with some purple (pink with a blue undertone), 07 is a pink and 08 is a bright coral but on my skin it looked very orange. These have a very luminous finish, however I actually didn't find them more luminous than Benefit's Coralista or NARS Orgasm. 07 looks like a mix of NARS Orgasm and Deep Throat on my skin tone, pink but with some peach, a fantastic shade for someone as pale as me. The packaging looks so cheap though. It's a mix of clear and milky plastic, honestly I would expect something like that from a blush for a couple of € and not for 20. However it's sturdy, you don't have the feeling that the lid might broke off at any moment. The little brush that comes with it (it's not in any of the pictures) is surprisingly useful. It lasted all day on me, it loses a bit of brightness, but still looks ok (as far as longevity goes Coralista wins hand down). All in all a great blush, but the packaging needs some upgrading.

Comparison of Benefit Coralista (the pretties blush ever), NARS Orgasm and Deep Throat and Pupa Luminys baked blush 07:

Pupa Luminys velvet blush swatches in sunlight on NC 15:

Replay is one of the new shades of Essence's Multi Dimension XXXL Shine nail polishes. It another turquoise/teal shade that I love. This one has more green in it than Essence You belong to me. I apologize for the shoddy application, the formula of the nail polish is very thick but that's not my main problem. The problem is in the top coat from the same brand which is horrible (but base coat is fine). It just doesn't dry like forever. I really miss my faithful Essie Good 2 Go.

Nars Lip Lacquer Chelsea Girls and DiorKiss Cotton Candy
December 07, 20100 Comments
I almost forgot I have this lacquer, probably because I never really liked it much. I'm not that bothered by the fact that it comes in a pot, I apply it with a TBS lip brush. The problem is the consistency, which is very thick and tacky. Another problem is the colour, I expected it to be more nude (however I am very pale), it looks to beige-brown on me. The scent is kind of plasticky, but not overpowering.
Skoraj sem pozabila da imam tale gloss, verjetno zato ker mi nikoli ni bil povsem všeč. Dejstvo da je v lončku me ne moti preveč, nanašam ga z čopičem iz The Body Shop-a. Zelo me moti, da je gost in lepljiv, pravtako mi ni všeč barva, pričakovala sem svetlejšo nude, na meni pa izpade bolj bežkasto-rjavo (sem zelo svetla). Diši nekako plastično ampak vonj ni pretirano intenziven.

And another swatch of an ancient DiorKiss gloss (it's long discontinued). It's one the most shimmery glosses I own (shimmer gets everywhere), it's really sticky and it smells like grapes.
Še en swatch DiorKiss glosa (ki je šel že davno iz prodaje). Je eden najbolj bleščičastih glosov v moji zbirki, je zelo lepljiv in diši po grozdju.

And some pictures of my new lipstick/gloss bag that my mom brought. It just to be a first aid kit (with nothing much left), so I found a new use for it.
Še nekaj slik moje nove torbice za šminke in glosse. Včasih je bila za prvo pomoč, samo notri ni več kaj dosti ostalo, zato sem jo porabila malo drugače.
